VITA / My Free Taxes

**Volunteers click here for resources**

In February and March, volunteer income tax perparers assist families to prepare their taxes for free.

In person assistance at one of our locations is a great, free option for you if you earn $54,000 or less.

Online assistance through MyFreeTaxes.com is available to you if you earn $66,000 or less.

That's right -- we said you get this all for free.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

We also advocate for our local residents to see if they qualify for CalEITC - the Earned Income Tax Credit.
