Fundraising & Development Coordinator VISTA – Santa Maria Team
At United Way of Northern Santa Barbara County Home For Good we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home for good! Gain hands-on grants experience obtaining funding for mental health, housing and employment programs. Develop your event planning skills as we launch awareness events like the Home For Good Walk. United Way is a community of donors, advocates, volunteers, and partners who fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community. Our Home For Good Santa Barbara County program supports a Coordinated Entry System, a no-wrong door, countywide system that engages and connects individuals and families experiencing homelessness to the optimal resources for their needs. Our Fundraising & Development VISTA will primarily serve in our Santa Maria office. Santa Barbara County has great beaches, mountains, valleys and eclectic communities. Member Duties: Duties include identifying funding opportunities and developing awareness events for our Home For Good Santa Barbara County program.
Program Benefits: The VISTA Living Allowance for Santa Barbara County is $1,850.24 ($925.12 VISTA Bi-Weekly Living Allowance). Training, Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend, Education award upon successful completion of service, Living Allowance, Health Coverage*, Relocation Allowance, Childcare assistance if eligible.
Terms: Permits attendance at school during off hours, Car recommended , Permits working at another job during off hours .

Capacity Development, Lease Up Santa Barbara! VISTA – Santa Barbara Team
Support PATH – Santa Barbara in the development of this innovative engagement program. Our Capacity Development, Lease Up Santa Barbara! VISTA will help recruit and support property owners and managers to help end homelessness in Santa Barbara County. PATH -- Santa Barbara is ending homelessness for individuals, families, and communities. They do this by building affordable housing and providing supportive services throughout California. Our Capacity Development, Lease Up Santa Barbara! VISTA will primarily serve in the PATH -- Santa Barbara office. Santa Barbara County has great beaches, mountains, valleys and eclectic communities. Member Duties: Duties include working with PATH –Santa Barbara staff to increase the affordable housing inventory by recruiting and collaborating with property owners and managers to support newly housed individuals and families.

Volunteer Management and In-kind Fundraising VISTA, Good Samaritan – Santa Maria & Lompoc Teams
Use your volunteer recruitment and fundraising skills to help families achieve success! Activities will include conducting assessments, fostering engagement and strengthening community partnerships. Good Samaritan Shelter provides emergency, transitional and affordable housing with support services to the homeless and those in recovery through the Central Coast. Our Volunteer Management and In-Kind Fundraising VISTA will primarily serve in the Good Samaritan Santa Maria office. Santa Barbara County has great beaches, mountains, valleys and eclectic communities. Member Duties: Duties may include, but are not limited to, developing an improvement plan for our current volunteer and fundraising program, developing a volunteer and donor managing, tracking and matching system, creating volunteer job descriptions, qualifications, activities, benefits, training plans, and setting up and implementing an outreach and recruitment system.
