Volunteer Management, Peoples' Self Help Housing
Peoples' Self Help Housing helps working families and underserved populations overcome the effects of poverty and achieve self-sufficiency by building safe, beautiful places to live and providing onsite supportive services that create opportunities to transform lives and strengthen communities. Our Volunteer Management VISTA will primarily serve in our Santa Maria office. Santa Barbara County has great beaches, mountains, valleys and eclectic communities.

Living Allowance: $1,850.24 monthly ($925.12 VISTA Bi-Weekly Living Allowance (full 14 days of service))
Member Duties :Duties include developing programs that support improved educational achievement of the children we serve to increase their opportunities and help break the intergenerational cycle of poverty. Some of the services coordinated through the program may include: child care, transportation, education, job training, employment counseling, financial literacy, and homeownership counseling, among others.
