Northern Santa Barbara County United Way's program Home for Good Santa Barbara County is the lead agency in Santa Barbara County's Coordinated Entry System. Home for Good features a Funders Collaborative that meets each quarter, which consists of members from all sectors and geographical areas in Santa Barbara County. The Collaborative ensures that the funds received do the most good, and Home for Good makes sure that works gets done. Simple enough? We think so. Find out more below.

Coordinated Entry System
Home For Good Santa Barbara County supports a Coordinated Entry System, a no-wrong door, countywide system that engages and connects individuals and families experiencing homelessness to the optimal resources for their needs. We believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home for good.

Steps to getting help for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and in need of support services: 
1. Meet in-person with a Housing Navigator at a Regional Entry Point for a screening.

2. Receive a referral for services depending on the level of need.
3. Connect to housing resources.

* The supply of permanent, supportive housing is limited. In cases where housing options are not available, our team will attempt to match people with rental assistance or other wraparound services.
Home for Good SBC has a Funders Collaborative composed of representatives from many sectors (foundations, government agencies, private businesses, and more) throughout the county. These representatives meet quarterly to discuss funding opportunities and strategies to work toward ending homelessness in Santa Barbara County. The Collaborative began meeting in March of 2018, and participation continues to increase.


Join us. Homelessness is not an isolated issue. Everyone across Santa Barbara County must pitch in to help. We need you to talk to your neighbors, encourage lawmakers to keep their promise to build supportive housing, and help people move off the streets.
