Members serve at a participating public or nonprofit agency that is a key player in assisting veterans and ending homelessness in Santa Barbara County. Member duties vary from agency to agency but generally focus around street outreach, housing placement, housing support and volunteer recruitment. Position descriptions identifying a large variety of member activities can be reviewed below. Schedules vary from agency to agency but typically occur during the weekdays. Training is provided to all members to ensure they have the knowledge and skills for a successful service experience.

We are currently accepting applications to become an AmeriCorps member for the 2016-17 and the 2017-18 program year. We accept applications until all positions are filled and don’t have a last date to apply. There is more availability of positions for those that apply early. Applications are screened on a regular basis and in the order received.
